The PVP.net client is the main screen of League of Legends. Here you can start a game, browse the shop or view your summoner profile.

- The play button allows you to search for a match online. You can choose the gamemode (Classic, Co-op vs AI or Dominion), map and type of game, and then choose whether you want to invite your own friends or search for teammates online.

- The shop menu allows you to buy new champions, runes or skins. The currency you can buy with is either Influence Points (IP) or RIOT Points (RP), bought for real money.

- Your Summoner profile lets you see your overall game statistics, recent match history, the champion page that has information about the champions you own as well as ones you don't, your rune pages and mastery pages that you set yourself to give you an edge in gameplay, and finally the Summoner Spells that you can use during the gameplay.

- Above the Shop and Profile buttons is information about the amount of IP and RP you have, as well as progress towards the next level (the purple bar behind your Summoner name). You can also choose the icon that is displayed next to your name.

- From left to right, the three buttons in the bottom right corner are your Friends list, used to keep track of friends and talk to them, the Chat Room that allows you to open different chatrooms to talk to people, and the Alerts menu that informs you of any friend requests, disconnections or game invitations.

- This box has news about the game, that come from the leagueoflegends.com website. Clicking any link takes you to the website to find out more.

- Clicking the League of Legends logo returns you to this main menu at any time.
